### **The Trick or Treat Trail will bring Halloween fun to downtown on Oct. 24**

**By Brit Allen, The Sandy Standard**

October has arrived, and with it comes the annual Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce Trick or Treat Trail from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in downtown Sandy.

This has become a tradition for many families and businesses in town, and a great way for parents who would rather take their kids trick or treating during the day than after work to celebrate Halloween as a family.

“I’m hoping for nice weather,” Chamber Director Khrys Jones said after last year’s event was a very wet affair. “We’ve been fortunate for so many years. I’m excited to see the streets filled with all of the trick or treaters again.”

Businesses that would like to participate can still register online until Oct. 17, and the invitation extends to more than just brick-and-mortar shops. Local organizations and businesses outside of the downtown core are welcome to set up a booth along the Trail.

To register, visit [sandyoregonchamber.org/trick-or-treat-trail](http://sandyoregonchamber.org/trick-or-treat-trail?ref=sandystandard.com).

Participating businesses will be identified by an event logo on their storefront or booth, and are welcome to offer activities as well as candy. There will also be a photo op spot on the Trail.

Businesses and organizations need not be members of the Chamber to participate.

The Trick or Treat Trail is a Chamber event, made possible by sponsors like Mt. Hood Community College, countless volunteer hours, membership dues and funds raised throughout the year by the Chamber.
