# Find fresh connections in February with the Sandy Area Chamber

A new month means four fresh new chances for networking with the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce. 

Existing and prospective members are invited to join Executive Director Khrys Jones at the following events in February:

Morning Perk meets the first Wednesday of every month from 7:30-9 a.m. at the AntFarm Cafe. 

This morning mixer includes networking, round table discussions, Chamber update announcements, and each month they highlight a local nonprofit organization. Chamber members and their guests are also given an opportunity at these events to share about their company and make any announcements they may have. 

REACH (Relationships Established At Cocktail Hour) is a casual networking event brought together by the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce and takes place the second Wednesday of each month from 4-6 p.m. 

The purpose of the event is to get to know your local business owners, Chamber members, and neighbors in a more informal atmosphere. This happy hour-style event is typically hosted at local restaurants/bars.

Good Morning Sandy meets the third Wednesday of every month from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at a different member’s business. 

This event offers a space for any Chamber member to highlight their business with a dedicated 15-minute slot. During this allotted time, members have the opportunity to tell everyone in the room what they do, how they are different from their competitors, and how others in attendance can send business their way. 

Formerly known as the Lunch and Learn, the BITE (Business Impact Through Education) luncheons take place the fourth Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dick Hannah Ford & Chevrolet, in the Accessories building

For the attendees, the BITE is an educational opportunity. And for the presenter, it is an opportunity to share their business or a skill that they believe will help fellow community members and business owners grow. 

Past topics for these one-hour presentations have included social media, financial planning, marketing, personal development, and much more. 

In February, this event will serve as the Chamber's annual meeting; lunch will be served and the Chamber Board and Directors will present the organization's 2025 accomplishments and 2026 goals. 

The annual meeting will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, and all members and prospective members are invited to join.

“This is an opportunity for us to share what we did over the past year,” Jones said. “And I’m looking forward to celebrating the longevity of the members who’ve been with us for many years.” 

The annual meeting (different from typical BITEs) is no-cost to members to attend, but non-members will pay $15 to attend without lunch and $30 to attend and receive a lunch. To make sure the Chamber has the right amount of food, people are required to RSVP on the Chamber website at sandyoregonchamber.org. 

“We’re always looking for additional members to join and grow our circle,” Jones added. “New members will have an opportunity to learn more about the chamber and meet our board members.”

As an additional gift to those in attendance, the Chamber will also have Mountain Honey Media at the meeting to take professional headshots for those who want them.
