Allstate Insurance agent Christopher Choruby doesn’t hesitate when discussing his favorite part of the job. “I enjoy helping families protect what matters most. Insurance isn’t one-size-fits-all, and learning what people need and building relationships with them is rewarding,” he said.

Choruby Insurance was established in 2017 and moved from Portland to Sandy in 2021.

“Our family lives in Sandy, and so it was really bringing the business home,” Choruby said. “We want to provide local jobs and support the community.”

Choruby, a second-generation insurance agent who grew up working in his father’s office, obtained his insurance licence after graduating from the Oregon State University. Today, his primary focus is connecting customers with cost-effective vehicle, home, property, and life insurance.

“We’re here to help you protect your family assets,” he said. Choruby and his team are efficient, only needing 5-10 minutes on their first call to gather the information for a full review to identify savings.

Choruby often works with customers on auto insurance — an often overlooked area where most people could save a significant amount of money. “We offer extremely competitive rates for young drivers,” he said. “We get to make sure families have protection and uncover savings opportunities. That’s huge, because the money stays in the household and can be put toward their family’s future.”

Choruby and his team of four take the time to truly get to know each customer to best determine their unique insurance needs. ”It’s tailor fit, and each household is different,” he said.

One common misconception about insurance Choruby sees is that having a policy means you are fully covered in any event. “Every policy has limits,” he explained. “Our job is to educate customers about their policy. We can uncover any gaps with a simple review.” Choruby is proud to serve his neighbors in Sandy, ensuring they have the insurance policy that will serve them best and helping them understand their policy.

In August, Choruby Insurance will be moving from its current location on Industrial Way to 38775 Pioneer Blvd., next to the Sandy Fire Department. “We’re looking forward to being in the heart of town to deepen our community roots,” Choruby said.
