Last Chance to Catch Barefoot in the Park — and a New Season Favorite Begins Soon

By Sandy Actors Theatre, For The Sandy Standard

Sandy Actors Theatre (SAT) is wrapping up its lively production of Neil Simon’s classic comedy Barefoot in the Park, which has charmed audiences from February 13th through March 8th. With only a few performances remaining in March, theatre‑goers have one last opportunity to experience this beloved story of newlyweds navigating the ups and downs of marriage with plenty of laughter and mismatched personalities.

Next on the Sandy Actors Theatre stage is Neil Simon’s Chapter Two, opening April 24th and running through May 17th with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sundays. Tickets are available online: https://sandyactorstheatre.com or at the door.

Under the direction of seasoned director Ron Palmblad, the production welcomes back SAT alumni Patrick Roth and Christine Anderson in the lead roles.

This touching romantic comedy follows writer George Schneider as he cautiously steps back into love after loss. When he meets the vibrant Jennie Malone, both are surprised to discover how quickly sparks can fly, especially when friends and family complicate the picture. Blending humor with heartfelt storytelling, Chapter Two is a moving exploration of second chances and the messy, hopeful pursuit of happiness.

Sandy Actors Theatre continues its commitment to opening its doors more widely to the community by showcasing a broader range of artistic experiences. Back by popular demand, stand‑up comedy returns with Guess Who?, a show featuring performers from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, each proving that you can’t judge a book by its cover.

The performance will take place on Saturday, April 11th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available both online and at the door.

In keeping with its mission as a community resource, the theatre was also pleased to help The Estacada High School Thespian Society by lending props for their next show, Radium Girls.
