How long on in Sandy: I’ve had a long-standing connection to Sandy. I've either lived or worked here my whole life. I grew up here and graduated from Sandy High School in 1992. I currently live in East Multnomah County, but I’ve been part of the Sandy business community since 2015, and by volunteering.
If you were not brought here as a child, what brought you to the area: N/A
Profession: I’m a controller, managing financial operations across multiple businesses. My role focuses on keeping everything structured, efficient, and running smoothly.
Other professions: Outside of my primary role, I’m really drawn to building and creating, whether that’s business development, branding, or refining systems. I enjoy taking something and making it better.
Favorites: My favorites are centered around my connection, balance, and a little creativity. My significant other, my kids, and my close circle of friends mean everything to me. I also adore my 2 Boston Terriers. I love being somewhere warm and sunny, a good book, live music, taking time for self-care, and tattoos to carry personal meaning.
Movie/and or Musical: I really enjoy classic movies from my youth. The Great Outdoors is one of my favorites. There's something about that style of humor and nostalgia that I’ve always loved.
Actress and Actor: I really like Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Garner. They both come across as genuine, grounded, and strong in an approachable way, which I really admire.
TV show: I enjoy Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. I like discovering different places and the story behind them.
Book: Two of my favorite books are “Girl, Wash Your Face” and “Braving the Wilderness). I appreciate the focus on personal growth, accountability. and staying true to who you are.

If offered a dream vacation, where would you go, and why: Anywhere warm and sunny and near water. Somewhere I can relax, recharge, and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Best lesson learned as a child: I was always taught to respond with kindness, even when it’s not easy, and that’s something I’ve carried with me through adulthood.
Defining moment in your life or your greatest accomplishment: My greatest accomplishment is my kids. Seeing them grow into kind, caring, and compassionate adults is something I’m incredibly proud of. It reflects the values that matter most to me.
A memorable dinner: For me the most memorable dinners are the simple ones. Small gatherings with family or close friends, where we can really connect and catch up.
A funny moment from your life that you can share: I move pretty fast and juggle a lot, so I’ve had more than a few moments where I walk into a room and forget why I’m there. It’s a good reminder that I need to slow down sometimes. My daughter told me just last weekend “Mom, your ADHD is running real strong today”
If you could invite anyone (past or present) to dinner, who would it be, and why: I would invite my dad. He passed away when I was younger, and he was a really important influence in my life. I think having the chance to share who I’ve become would mean a lot.
Describe yourself in one word: Cultivator. I value growth, whether it’s in people, business, or relationships. I take pride in helping people and things develop and thrive over time.
When you're not reading The Sandy Standard, what book/author/magazine/other do you read: I enjoy a good rom-com. I like something light, engaging, and a fun way to unwind.
If your life were made into a play or movie, what would the title be: She Built it Anyway. Let me explain! It would represent pushing forward, building a meaningful life, and not waiting for the right moment to make something happen.
Pet peeve: Lack of follow through. I really value accountability, so when someone says they’re going to do something, I appreciate it when they see it through.
Bad habit you’d like to break: I have a tendency to take on too much at once, but I’ve been working on prioritizing and focusing on what’s most important.
Famous person(s) you have met, and the circumstances: I haven’t met anyone famous, but I’ve met some really impactful people in everyday life, and those interactions have meant the world to me.
Favorite quote: Embrace the Chaos. It’s a reminder to stay grounded and keep moving forward, even when things aren’t perfectly in order.
Favorite part of The Sandy Standard: Promoting the incredible people who are making a positive difference in our community!
