A new year is here, and Sandy Actors Theatre’s Season of Simon continues.
“Our 2025-2026 season started off with a bang with the successful runs of Niel Simon's"Fools " and “The Odd Couple (Female Version),” said board member Jonica Tabler.
Coming up in February, the small nonprofit theatre company will produce Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park,” a romantic comedy about two newlyweds who couldn’t be more different and their struggles to acclimate to married life.
The production premieres on Friday Feb. 13, and runs through Sunday, March 8, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sundays.
The closer of their season dedicated to the timeless wit of Neil Simon will be “Chapter Two,” another romantic comedy showcasing a story of second chances at love.
This production will premiere on Friday, April 24, and run through Sunday, May 17, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sundays.
Aside from providing quality local theatre, SAT is also working to expand its outreach in the community in 2026.
Tabler said they hope to do this: “by opening our theatre to other organizations who would like to take advantage of our venue.”
“In November, SAT provided our venue for a stand-up comedy show,” she explained. “There will be another sometime in January. We are excited for the direction our theatre is moving and invite you to come along.”
