This year, the time of year known historically as Support Mt. Hood Hospice Month has been expanded upon, and Clackamas County Bank has partnered with the nonprofit hospice to host a multi-month series of fundraising events. The festivities began in April, and there are still two events left to enjoy in June, both of which benefit Mt. Hood Hospice and its mission to provide compassionate, end-of-life care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
Proceeds from these events directly support patient care and essential programs, including the Community Fund and Pet Peace of Mind program.
The Annual Shred Event hosted by Clackamas County Bank at the Sandy branch will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6. And at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13, Sandy Cinema will welcome people in for a special screening of “Back to the Future” (doors open at 8:45 a.m.)
Tickets for the movie are $6 and available at Clackamas County Bank, the Shred Event, or at Mt. Hood Hospice. Purchasing movie tickets in support of Hospice Month is a meaningful and affordable way to recognize employees, thank volunteers, or provide appreciation gifts while also giving back to an important community cause.
“We are deeply grateful for the strong partnership we share with Clackamas County Bank,” said Mt. Hood Hospice Executive Director Rhonda Franke. “Employees from every branch generously volunteer their time and energy to bring these fundraising events to life, helping sustain and grow our Community Fund.”
“As we see an increasing number of younger patients without private insurance, the importance of continuing this annual campaign has never been greater,” Franke added. “It allows us to provide compassionate care for patients, their pets, and their loved ones — regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay. Access to dignity and support at the end of life is something everyone deserves.”
