The Hull Foundation and Learning Center in Sandy, Oregon is a retreat center for the blind, a place where our guests with sight loss and blindness can go to a home away from home to relax, renew, and enjoy many activities matched to the season or subject of the retreat or seminar.

Our Winter Holiday Getaway started on December 8th and ended on December 12th. Our guests are spending their time at the foundation playing holiday games, listening to Christmas music, and visiting with friends that they haven’t seen since their last visit.

Wednesday, they had breakfast with Santa, and on Thursday, they will trek up the mountain to Timberline Lodge to meet with the St. Bernard dogs and enjoy a cup of cocoa by the fire. Our group will be having lunch in Government Camp and will come back to Oral Hull Park to have a Holiday Feast for dinner on their last evening of fun and fellowship.

The foundation holds five different seminars each year, including cooking, arts and hobbies, life skills, and technology. The next seminar is our Mobility Sight Loss Seminar, happening March 10th through the 13th and our next retreat will be our Friends and Alumni group starting on June 7th and running for six days. We are looking forward to a busy and successful 2026. If you would like to know more about the foundation, please call our office for more information.
