Within the Sandy community, Wippersnappers is a safe place for kids to find enjoyment and connect with the community. Popular activities including play structures, bounce houses, and wiggle carts are offered; multitudes of kids run around Wippersnappers partaking in these activities. Sandy Safeway’s New Changes Receives Mixed Reviews
Sandy’s Safeway is one of three supermarket options in the area for grocery shopping. Citizens enjoy shopping for their weekly groceries, grabbing last minute dinner needs, or finding a snack after school in these supermarkets. In early February though, citizens noticed a notable new difference to the experience at Safeway: designated entrances and exits were created with gates at the entrance. Nearby, Gresham’s Safeway on 1455 NE Division St also has barriers. However, Dama

Well-Adjusted: Eating Well in a World Built for Convenience
It’s surprisingly easy to go through an entire day without eating a single fresh fruit or vegetable. For many kids, the day begins with cereal and milk for breakfast, moves on to a school lunch built around packaged or processed foods, and ends with a quick dinner like mac & cheese or nuggets. Adults often fall into similar patterns — skipping breakfast, grabbing fast food between responsibilities, or relying on simple, rushed dinners that don’t include any fresh ingredients.

Your Roof Needs TLC in February
Homeowners in the Mt. Hood Corridor are a lucky bunch. The area is plopped in the middle of a deciduous rainforest, with gorgeous scenery and a great local vibe. Homeowners’ and business owners’ roofs, however, have a tougher life. The Mt. Hood Corridor sits in a transitional microclimate that bridges the gap between the lowlands of Oregon and the elevation of Mt. Hood. That means roofs have to endure harsh winds, rapidly changing temperatures, and unforeseen winter weather.

Mobile Library Progress Accelerates with Oregon Community Grant
A library is known as a keeper of knowledge and learning in the form of books. However, its reach extends far beyond that, offering tools and engagement beyond the realms of said books. Sandy Public Library holds thousands of volumes, but additionally offers activities for teens, kids, and adults alike. There are classes teaching about STEM activities or providing games such as after-hours laser tag. However, for some, traveling to the Sandy or Hoodland Library is a challenge
