Cedar Park
Cedar Park was completed and celebrated its grand opening in November 2024. We are currently planning a new bike and skate competition that we hope to host at the park in August 2026. We’re excited about this event as it will highlight the park’s bike and skate features and provide a fun opportunity for the community to engage with the space.
Deer Pointe Park
Deer Pointe Park celebrated its grand opening with a small ceremony for surrounding neighbors on February 7, 2026. The park is now open and being actively used by the community. There is a very limited scope of additional work scheduled for completion later this spring or early summer, but the primary project is complete.
Meinig Memorial Park
Renovations at Meinig Park are scheduled to begin July 15, with the goal of completing construction by early November. The project will include replacement of the majority of the asphalt walking paths, upgraded park lighting, new picnic shelters near the City Hall side of the park, and a new restroom near the lower parking lot and Fantasy Forest.
These improvements are primarily focused on accessibility and safety. Many of the existing paths are steep and have become heaved and cracked due to tree roots, creating challenges for visitors with mobility limitations and presenting potential tripping hazards. The project will improve accessibility throughout the park and enhance the overall visitor experience.
