Kick off the New Year with a dash of cheer at Sandy's newest Winterfest event, Jingle Jog 2026! Holiday Happy Hour – Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 | 4:30–6:30 PM
Start your Saturday night off right at our cozy Holiday Happy Hour, hosted at the Meinig Park Gazebo. Bundle up, sip something warm, and enjoy the twinkle of Winterfest lights as you mingle with neighbors and friends. Expect good company, festive ambiance, and plenty of cheer to carry you into the new year. And the winners of our Merry Makeover Challenge will be announced during this event.
Casa Colima will be selling tamales and Top Shelf Trailer will be selling drinks throughout the event!
Bee City USA Action Group – Winter Meeting
Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 | 6:00–7:00 PMSandy Community & Senior CenterJoin local pollinator enthusiasts, gardeners, and sustainability advocates for the Bee City USA Action Group’s Winter Meeting. This one-hour gathering is a great chance to learn what Sandy is doing to support bees and other essential pollinators—and how you can be part of the effort.
Bee City USA is an initiative of The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. As an affiliate of Bee City USA, Sandy is committed to enacting policies and programs to support pollinator species in the city. These policies include adopting an integrated pest management program, planting pollinator habitat on public land, and using public
engagement tools to provide education and resources on pollinator preservation.
Sandy Bee City USA has a Bee City Action Group that meets once quarterly to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects. These meetings are open to the public and we are always looking for new members!
Seedy Saturday: Seed Swap

Celebrate National Seed Swap Day at the 7th-annual Seedy Saturday—a cherished Sandy tradition! This free, community-focused event brings gardeners of all levels together to preserve heirloom seeds, share the bounty of previous growing seasons, and encourage local biodiversity. Bring seeds you’ve saved or extras from packets purchased in the last few years—but remember, bringing seeds is not required to participate! Bring what you can, take what you’d like, and help keep this wonderful tradition thriving.
The Winter 2026 Recreation Guide is Here!
Drop by Sandy City Hall, Sandy Library, or the Sandy Community and Senior Center to pick up a hard copy of the 2026 Winter Recreation Guide! From piano classes to senior trips to martial arts, there's something for everyone. Plus there are lots of ways you can help by volunteering, donating, or even sponsoring programs. We appreciate your involvement and support of city programs!
